Sharon Davis, President

Academic Success and Scholarship Officer


Bio: Sharon Davis is a third year Global Studies teacher at Rachel Carson High School in Brooklyn, NY. She currently serves as the Ambassador of the MY SISTER KEEPER Program through the Department of Education initiatives and also advises the schools’ first ever Black Student Union. During her time at RCHS Ms. Davis has chaired several club organizations, including the Culture and Climate team, and has engaged in dialogue with CUNY leaders through international conferences. Prior to her time at RCHS, Ms. Davis spent three years as a fellow in the Youth Activist Program at Brooklyn Community foundation and has moved to becoming the facilitor for over 15 youths in the same program and a committee chair for grant awardees.

She is a two time graduate of Brooklyn College, where she received her B.A. in History and Secondary Education in 2019 and Masters of Education with a specialization in Special Education. In addition to her professional and academic responsibilities, she serves as SORT’s President and Educational Officer.






Gloria Louis, Vice President

Health Officer


Bio: Gloria “Glo” Louis is the Vice President and Health Officer for SORT, Incorporated. She graduated from Brooklyn College in 2019 with her Bachelor of Science in Health & Nutrition Science. She is currently pursuing her Secondary Bachelor’s in Nursing at College of Mount Saint Vincent and works as a Medical Scribe providing health care to underserved communities. Gloria is an aspiring ICU nurse and nurse educator.






Isa Mitchell, Treasurer

Economic Development Officer


Bio: Isa Mitchell is an Alumna of Brooklyn College and is currently pursuing her Masters of Education at Queens College. She graduated in May 2020 with her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Children & Youth Studies. In addition to her duties as Treasurer and Economic Development Officer for S.O.R.T Incorporated, Ms. Mitchell is Co-Advisor to the Jamaica Queens Youth Council, a Higher Education Officer at Brooklyn College, and a member of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated, Omicron Chapter.





Zekiiyah Joyner, Secretary

Youth Development Officer

Bio: Zekiiyah Joyner is the Secretary and Youth Development Officer of SORT Incorporated. She is a Fall 2019 Graduate of Brooklyn College, having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Children & Youth Studies and a minor in African American Studies. She is a current second-year student at Howard University, pursuing Masters in Social Work. Her immediate goal is to become a School Social Worker, eventually earn her Doctorate, and become a Professor of Social Work. In her spare time, she serves as the Chair of the Association of Black Social Workers’ D.C. Chapter Young Adults Committee, Secretary for NAACP Brooklyn's Young Adults Committee, and has served as Women of Color at Brooklyn College’s Graduate Co-Advisor for the last three years.






Rebeca Lafond, Public Affairs Liaison

Civic Engagement Officer

Bio: Rebeca Lafond is a second-year student at the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law where she serves as the President of the Black Law Students Association and was honored as 1L of the Year by the Northeast Region Black Law Students Association. Rebeca received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology at Brooklyn College, where she double minored in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Before enrolling in law school, Rebeca served as the Director of Constituent and Support Services in the New York State Assembly. This summer Rebeca will be an intern at NYLAG’s Immigration Protection Unit. Rebeca enjoys being civically engaged in her community and in her free time, enjoys supporting others who aspire to go to law school. Rebeca manages an Instagram and Youtube channel named @msfuturejd. In the future, Rebeca plans to pursue a career in immigration law and public policy. She serves as SORT Incorporated’s Public Affairs Liaison and Civic Engagement Officer.
